Just stumbled across this thread looking at Speedmaster Mark II's... So jealous stefan that is exactly what I'm looking for! Why oh why can't you buy NOS cases for the Mark II?

... Or can you?

Apart from a scratch from a very clumsy attempt to open the back, probably by the auctioneer selling it, this showed absolutely no signs of wear when I picked it up three years ago. My watchmaker said it had to be a redial when he saw it first, and then having serviced it said the movement had never been touched, and showed no signs of use whatsoever. I've worn it bit since getting it - it was my first ever vintage watch, and the whole NOS thing was a bit alien. Any, it's now 61 years old, and probably had max 1 year of use. Should last a while yet...

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but your watch is unfortunately a redial.

Not good news indeed. There isn't much printing on it, just the word omega and the subdial cross-hairs. I don't know enough about subdial cross-hair typologies to spot an error, so I'll guess "omega"?

Printing of the subdial is wrong pattern (and actually rather sloppily done), the minute marks are too long and too prominent and the word omega is too thick. Unfortunately wrong all around.

Thanks for the detailed assessment - unfortunate sounds right. NOS dials for 60+ year old jumbo dress watches in PG aren't exactly falling from the trees.

The "Like" was definitely for the Tissot Rich. If nobody has called dibs on it, then count me in. That one gets me tingling every time you show it. 👍

The Bulova is date coded 1990, earlier this year I got it out of a stock of watches from a retired watchmaker. It still had the paper Bulova stock label on the back. Outside of replacing a rotton crown seals it's mint.... its for boating and working in the yard.... because it quartz, so I won't mind when it dies.

The Waltham is from 1893..... any scratches on it were put there by me in the last few years as I actually wear it once in a while...... how the hell it survived 100 plus years without any marks or evidence of use is something I would love to know!

I sold this a long, long time ago - but my pictures remain. Vacheron with original band and buckle.

I was by the local watchmaker's yesterday, the one I got the Accutron diver's watch off (the one about 3 messages up)

Anyway hey let the cat out of the bag about the size of the stash it came from. When he bought it as a lot he filled his Volvo wagon to the top, tailgate to back of the front seat, with watches and stuff from a retired Bulova serviceman. A large percentage of it is scrap and frankenwatches and the bulk is quartz, but I did see several Caravelle and Bulova automatic divers watches from the mid seventies in the pile I dug through........ all were new with the paper inventory labels still on them.

That's like..... 50+ cubic feet of watches!

Any new contenders for this thread?

Funny you should ask, as I just picked this up today in Zürich. Not an Omega, but very nice nonetheless. And, interestingly, the dial is somewhat similar to one of my favorite Omega dials occasionally found on their larger bumpers (of which I own a few).

Here's my 2003 Rolex 16610lv with all stickers still intact... hardly considered old stock compared to some of the others here

Flat four bezel too, quite sought after as the true 50th anniversary model.
