Ye-gads! Looks like someone stuck a half sucked butterscotch on the bezel pip!

So let’s look at what an early 90’s 14060 (basically the same dial as the above 5513) looks like when it naturally patinas

Still looking pretty creamy to me

how about an early 80’s 16750

Not looking like burnt sugar after 20 years on my wrist…hmmm, are mine defective? Isn’t my lume supposed to age like cave cheese?

Love that insert on the 16750!

Love that insert on the 16750!
I honestly don’t know how this happens, or to which generation etc. I see some where the blue has faded and red was bold, and vice versa, or both faded. When I bought it 20 years ago, it was still bright colors both red and blue and only the red has faded naturally (and it was 20 years old then).

I never swam with it so it’s not chlorine exposure. I did use copious amounts of Off Deep Woods with Deet when doing field work (would just spray it all over my arms and around my pant cuffs)…lucky my skin didn’t peel off. The Off would muddle the crystal a little which I would have to polish- maybe that started the color shift?
Has there been study of which inserts from which generations age a certain way and why?

That dealer is unfortunately well known for messing with watches.

In fact patina is the last thing I would worry about: here two watches from the same seller with completely fake Arab signature, and asking price for each one is probably nine/ ten times more than the 5513.

Absolutely scaring
