I may be completely out on a bike ride here but has this connie’s dial been redone. It looks lovely but I thought the minute markers are not meant to touch the edge, where the dial changes it’s slope. Also the “R’s” in chronometer arr different to eachother. Its super expensive either way. I may be wrong but it just doesn’t look right to me.

Does that large omega script look off? I see what you are saying about the letter R but those photos are a bit blurry the Omega looks odd to me though

I would like to see better pictures in daylight but at first glance it looks to be a well preserved glossy black dial. See a bit of old lume on the dial. Case looks to be polished. But I have the feeling the dial is genuine. But better pictures are required. Price is absurd of course.

Well, as a new fan of vintage Omega watches, I have to say that is a stunning looking watch.

I agree that the two "R" letters on the dial don't match.
Also, the hour markers on the dial do seem to be placed such that they touch the inner dial.

The one thing this forum has done is caused me to look at watch details with about 10 times more detail than I used to.
I'm even looking at the vintage Speedmaster Pro I own with a much higher level of scrutiny.
(and, so far, I love it all the more).

Slowly, I am learning some details to look for from this forum.

I would love to hear from the current watch owner about the dial on the watch.

Black dials are always a nightmare to judge. Especially if they are in good condition with almost no aging.

Seems to be genuine and the seller is from Sweden. He sells by the name MarcelsWatchGroup on the Swedish auction site Tradera. All his watches are extremely overpriced.

No issue with the dial IMHO but the price is laughable.

These minute markers on this watch are not touching the “edge”, which is what I always check for. But if the minute markers are touching the edge, as they are on the Connie on Chrono24, it doesn’t necessarily need to raise a red flag? I thought they should always be a space between the minute markers and the “edge”

It’s a nice watch, sure, but I keep thinking about what other watches I could purchase for the same amount...

The dial looks good to me but as already stated the sellers prices are ridcilous (and has also been discussed several times at the Swedish watch forum).

Maybe the owner of this watch has amassed a large collection and it’s frustrated their significant other having a house full of watches? It’s possible they were told to sell off some...

They begrudgingly “agreed” and listed for prices that will never sell. This way it looks like they are making an effort while keeping their watch.

This is the story that plays out in my head whenever I see items listed for laughable prices.

Condition is great, but that price is insane. If he manages to sell it for even close to that I might ask for the buyers details as I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell him.
