I wouldn't be surprised if the squirrel is laughing at all this and thinking to himself "thank fυck I got out when I did."
At least the squirrel was funny.

Consider the following scenario involving two members A and B. A is a complete noob, B not as new.

A: posts a silly question or makes an annoying faux pas.

B: makes a sarcastic or snide remark made without ill will.

A: "You have offended me, what is your problem with me B?"

Now member B has a choice. Far too often, they respond: "Lighten up, I was only joking. You are way too sensitive." Instead they could reply, "I am sorry, no offense intended. It was a joke, but seriously next time . . . "

The former implies that there is something wrong with A, but as discussed there are many reasons why A might take offense to a comment B thought was benign. The latter de-escalates the situation and ends with real information.

Ah how right you are. A few months ago I mentioned the quartz gold plated square Michael Kors auction that was ending in 2 hours. Achim still won't speak to me! 😁

Indeed, my intention is that the three dots would be filled with honest straight forward advice.

My four year old grandson and I were talking. I was telling him the three most important rules in life: “Be nice, be nice and be nice” his reply was, ‘And be kind.’

It’s really pretty easy.
