The itch... the need for a new watch!

Probably been discussed many times before here, but my searching skills are poor.

Anyway, I haven't bought a watch for 2 months! And I feel I have to.
Just taking photos of my current ones, which are fantastic (but I only have 10), doesn't activate the good sensations in my brain anymore. I know that I should do better quality photoshoot... but that requires hours.

So, do you feel from time to time that you need to sell/buy a watch to scratch that itch?
Also, I have this stupid rule, that I should only keep 10 watches...

Funny you should say that. I've been trying to identify twelve watches that I could keep in the current watch box (its capacity is 12), plus one in a winder for a 'Baker's Dozen', and sell off the rest. I've been working on this for over a year, and have attempted to sell just one watch 😵‍💫

That's a good rule. Out going watch pays for incoming or at least partially. You can rejuvenate the collection. Keeps the interest alive while holding cost down especially servicing.
Tough part would be deciding on which to cull. Tough choice.

I have a bit of that itch. Wouldn't mind one of the new Tissot PRXs but I'm having enough trouble rotating and enjoying just my few Omegas. Never mind the rest of the watch box. I don't know when I would even wear a new watch.

I got three this week and I still want more.

Why is is so hard to cross the room sit down at the bench and work on the ones I have?

much easier to press command-R (page refresh.)

Like many, it's hard (for me) to find a watch that fits all my criterion of quality and price. So, I bide my time thinking up new strap combos for that "perfect" pairing.

I find, these days, that I stumble across a new watch purchase than actively searching for one.

okay, a dozen makes sense
well, a baker's dozen
Hmm, close to a dozen and a half, so...
well, I'm close to two dozen, might as well round it off...

It's better to record one's inventory without numbering the list.

Best not to know.

I did'nt buy a watch for 3 months. Longest period ever. And it would'nt surprise me if I dont buy a watch in the upcoming months. But I must say all is good. I enjoy following the threads here. And I have a nice collection at the moment. I dont really know what to buy. So I will wait. We will see what the future brings. Anyway, I enjoy the hunt of others. So keep those threads coming!

Due to the fact that it is summer, I’ve not seen most of my collection in months. So come September when I visit the bank, I’ll have a whole bunch of “new”watches again.

I think I should just free myself from that number. Infinity sounds much better!
