Hi everyone. Hope my message finds you all well in spite of the times at the moment in Germany and Europe.

So, a while ago I pulled the trigger on a watch I saw and the seller could not provide good pictures but I decided to take the risk. It is a 2438 powered by a bumper movement I still was not able to decipher which one.. Will take it to my WM so I can know. The 3xx movement number does not show so maybe this is a 30.10RA? 📖 The clover crown is definetely incorrect for the reference but it is a nice bonus given it is a rosegold vintage original one.

It is probably one of the most dark patinated watches I have seen and definetely the most patinated one on my small collection. Because of it's dark colour, it is very difficult to fotograph it! It's Art Deco full numerals make it a really fun piece. Wanted to share. 😁

Cheers everyone,

Rudi

I don’t mind that, the evenness makes it seem more pleasant to the eye. It does look a lot older than it really is though

Thanks for the trigger warning. I think it looks great. Those 2s are from another world.

What’s more authentic than a beautiful patina on an old watch?!
Who wants a new looking, old one?!

True, I originally thought, as I bought it, that the patina might be too much but since it is even, it doesn't bother me at all when I am wearing it.

Aren't they? These, along with the syringe hands remind me of old table clocks usually grandmas own. Great aesthetics IMO.

Lovely

Thanks for the kind comment!

Source of strap?

The brand name is Marburger from Germany. Not fancy, paid just 18€ for it on a department store here in Berlin. They are big here. Almost every watch shop/jeweler has them.

Cappuccino or crème brûlée (writing that was a hard one), a fun fact... This is how this watch once looked like:

And then, a lot of coffees, cappuccinos, and fancy caramel-coloured and difficult to pronounce desserts later:

😀
