New vintage sm300 (watchco like), patina it?

Hi

I could grab at local auction site a 165.0324. Kind of watchco build that sometimes pops off in Switzerland.

I added a 1171/633 bracelet and serviced the movement myself (was a bit dirty to my taste).

Watch looks great but the perfect and strong white luminova is so so.

Relume or age dial and hands is not rocket science. However I could not find the proper process to remove the bezel insert. Any hint?

Best regards
Brice

Don't take my word as gospel but I don't believe the inserts are meant to come out. It's the entire bezel unit (steel bezel plus insert) than would need popping off.

Yes bezel insert is not removable. Also I think it is a hard dial to relume due to the strength/integrity of the Luminova paint on the indices and their curved profile.
Perhaps the oven is the way to go with these? Cooking instructions are out there somewhere I believe.

Why bother? Wear it for 40 years or so and it will look great.

Always liked these but an original with creamy lume is to die for.

Lewis Watchco has done the complete relume on some of his specials. Quite nice but maybe too uniform

Bricem13, thanks for sharing. It's a lovely watch and that 1171/633 bracelet is a prefect match.
I'm having one made soon and plan to match it with that bracelet. Please keep us posted if you have the lume done?

Nope, I just get his news letters but wish I had bought a couple of the watches he has done
