Hello, my is Nicholas, I live in Miami, FL. I love high-end mechanical watches, German cars, and travel.

Between my wife and I we’ve been able to acquire a decent little collection. I own a Rolex Black 16570 Explorer II, an Omega Speedmaster Mark 40, a Seiko SUN023P, and a 1992 Seiko 7002-700J. My wife being into watches is really cool, I’ve definitely rubbed off on her. She has a Rolex Datejust Turn-o-Graph 116264 white dial, jubilee bracelet (I’m so jealous of this one), a Salmon dialed Rolex Air King 14000, and a Seiko SNK803.

It goes without saying, but I need more Omega’s . We do share our watches and we want to add a Speedy Pro soon. I lurked for a few days then realized I needed to register and post/learn/contribute/buy. This forum is awesome! 1B3C95B5-3442-4100-847F-FE36B4A0386B.jpeg

Hi! I'm Lauren from Richmond. I've got a 566.0027 (orange and black) and a ladies C-case Connie. Currently on the hunt for a blue bullseye Dynamic, so I've actually created an account.

    Hello Everybody,
    my name's Marco from Italy.
I'm a vintage watches enthusiast, actually a vintage everything enthusiast...
My first non vintage watch has been a Reduced Speed in 1996 because I was very skinny and I could not wear a Professional properly...
Since then I bought many vintage watches and among them a 1968 Transitional Speedmaster and a 166.062 Seamaster 60.
    Have a nice day everybody.

    Marco

I'm Joe, and I'm a Speedmaster type. I also like military watches and one or two of the Rolex line. My avatar is my only Seamaster, a Watchco, and one of my favorites to wear if I plan a day in the water.

Is it on the Bay? I'm US based so unless I can drive there, I'm focusing on online listings

    Hello Everyone,

I'm Mike from Miami, FL. I'm an Omega fan looking to get my first piece. Found this forum and see that it's active so I figured I'd join in lol.

I don’t have any watches to my name. Figure I have collected enough guns and ammo. Turning my attention to new things. Vintage watches have caught my eye. Live in Arizona. What is the best source for watch information and authentication info?
Omega vintagewatches have the most eye appeal in my opinion. Ebay any good? Several sellers have 100% good reviews. The cleaned and buffed vintage Omega watches are pretty slick. Some replies I have read here on the forum have a certain distain for these type of watches. Is this the eye of the beholder or the value degraded that much?
Hope I can show some purchases in the future,

Yes, the value is degraded that much and they almost always ask way more than they are worth, more often even more than a nice original can be found.

    But hey, it's your money.

Stay, learn, don't buy a shitty watch.

Is this a shitty watch. My novice skills lead me to believe it is authentic. Bought it at $688. Is it shitty or acceptable?

If you are going to wear it, be proud of it and be happy, who gives a rat's ass?

If you are asking a collector's forum if it's an honest good watch, post a high-res dial shot head on and a better movement shot.

Original watches often gain value with collector's, others usually lose value.

What are/were your goals? One man's shit is another's shinola.

Gonna wear the fuckers, wanna collect and be proud of the vintage watch. Try to have something that keeps its value for the chillen’s when I die

    Outstanding!
Let' see the head-on dial and movement shots clear and we can better assess.
Please keep in mind this is a collector's forum and some may look at things a little differently.
