Hey there I'm new to this forum. I've had a soft spot in my heart for Omega's since I was a little tike. Dad did contract repairs for Zales back in the fifties and sixties, he always commented on how he preferred Omega's to other brands that came across his bench. I've always been an auto winder fan but it's taken me a while to find my Omega. Now in my early Sixties I've bit the bullet and have a nice clean 2531.80 on it's way. It will be an everyday watch. The Tag Aquaracer, Oris BC3, Seiko Orange Monster along with an entirely unimpressive Luminox 3150.BO probably won't get much more use going forward. I will now be keeping my eyes open for a couple of special Older Omega's to have just because I can. I will also be recovering his repair bench, tools, and parts soon just to preserve them as they haven't had any use since the late 80's.
I just thought I would make an introduction. I'm in the UK and have been into watches for just a couple of years and have purchased a few watches now but at the lower end of the spectrum. I have also been drawn to the Omega brand and in particular the Moonwatch. I'm now in a position to be able to make my first 'big' (to me anyway) watch purchase and naturally have been looking for a nice Speedmaster, either a 3570.50 or 3573.50. I found this forum the other day in a quest to do more research on the Speedmaster, and have really enjoyed reading around.
Another newbie from the UK to this forum! although you might find me on one or two other watch forums, such is my addiction! I'm always looking to learn more, so I hope to hang around on here more. Here are some of my Omegas. You will notice I like vintage models
Welcome Robins, I would say a Speedmaster Pro moonwatch (or pre moon) is a must for true Omega collector. So you make the right move !!! Either you buy new, pre-owned modern or vintage, many members in here will be glad to 'enable' you. Cheers, H

Hello everybody, my name is Giuliano and I'm totally new on this forum. I'm from Italy and I'm a "young" Vintage Heuer Collector with six nice pieces... ;-) I discover the vintage watches more or less three years ago after having had two TAG Heuer. I would like to learn more of vintage Omega and Zenith so decided to join this forum. Here some pics of my collection... I have also a great passion on making the vintage straps for these watches... Here some pics: Thanks in advance to all of you and Happy New Year Giuliano
Hi Giuliano. Do you make these straps without the rally style holes punched in them? The 4th from the left in the above picture looks like it might be cool on my blue dialed AT.
Thanks very much to all of you for your warm and kind welcome. Much appreciated Have a nice weekend Giuliano
Hi Dennis, Giuliano makes them however you wish. Leather, hole size, length, lugs etc can all be decided by the buyer. I have bought several straps from him, with and without holes, and have always been very happy. Recommended. R
