That’s interesting as the hash marks on my -65HF are also not thicker as seen on the OP’s watch.

Remember OP's watch has a "wide T" dial and the -65 you have a "narrow T". They are not identical.

That’s right, but it looks the same as on my CB.

I think it is the no-step thin hashmark combo that is bothersome.

A no-step thick hashmark would most probably do the same 😉

Do you have a tritium dial to show this as an example?

No, but if I have one what would be your suggestion then?

As both dials are “narrow T” the thin hashmark looks ok to me. At the end it’s the missing step on that CB dial which makes it special. Maybe it’s an replacement dial maybe not, I don’t know at the moment what’s behind but I like it.

I think the other reason I raised the service dial query was because the lume seems to be reflecting the light based on the angle of those pictures (i.e. it has a "sheen" to it). This is often seen on later service dials that are aged to look harmonious with the rest of the watch. Am I just seeing a "sheen" that isn't there in person?

At this point, I'm just truly curious. I have never seen a no-step dial be considered correct on a pre-moon Professional, so if that notion is incorrect, it would be good to know.

Crappy lighting ... but its there ... as is the gap between the minute markers, and it (which happened starting at the 105.003) ...

i agree, it's clearly there, full or small step.😀

the light and reflection could have affected the step (line) to be unnoticeable. but by looking closely at the 6 & 7 hour markers, an obvious bend is visible compared to the rest. and it's by no means a printing error.😉
