Looks like a great result with those hands, so a pass from me 馃憤.
Dont mind a bit of DIY myself anyway 馃榾

FOIS blue dial in Pro case

And CK2915 build

Omega was happy selling the parts back in the day so no harm done, and it is great fun to do a little work on your own watches.

Reminder: Rule 6 a.: Every Franken needs a name.
At least three syllables, slightly threatening, and with a hyphen.
Examples: Turbo-Flux-Dial, Screw-Golem-666feet.

In that case I'd name mine the Stainless-Steel-Tuxedo.

Well, a few years on and I鈥檓 finally looking at this on my wrist. 馃榾

This one started out with a supposedly 80s rodium plated dial. Some say it鈥檚 a service dial for the BC 345.0802. I鈥檓 not so sure, but anyway, it鈥檚 original and looks great imho.

Subsequently, I鈥檝e sourced a Big Arrow and a matching black handset. A 70s/80s bezel on top completes the head. As a finishing touch, I matched the polished indices with a part-polished 3861 bracelet. I鈥檓 very pleased with how this turned out and am wearing it regularly these days.

To get back to the topic of the thread I鈥檓 reviving here; this watch is so unmistakably different from any Speedy delivered originally from the factory that I think this is perfectly fine. It definitely does not try to pass as something it is not, separating it from modded Mitsukoshi, Racing or other Speedy LE鈥檚.

Does it get a pass from you too?
Supercool watch @Aludic !
It looks very clean and elegant - nicely done!

Erhhm...you did the work or your watchmaker?

As a pocket watch collector, I don't see a problem. I've picked up numerous orphaned mov'ts over the years, some that did even have hands or dials. Hunting down the parts to make something whole again, something that you appreciate, is all part of the fun.
