For me :

1) it’s more or less the bracelet that was worn on a particular watch I have in my collection (albeit a narrower version) in the 50s
2) The ForstnerBands one can be attached to fixed bars

That said, I find it very comfortable and easy to wear/use, as well as very light. I can’t wait to try it on other more modern watches (I think given it’s brand new and not a shagged vintage one it will actually look quite good)...
Yup, they have period appeal and are unlike anything else (how many more BOR interpretations do we need?!?!). And as said, very light and very comfortable. On a heavy watch they may actually not have enough mass to keep them from sliding around on the wrist unless you really strap it down. As I like to wear my bracelet a little loose, I am always cognizant of the weight of the watch when pairing with a very light bracelet like this.
