Speedmaster Automatic in 18K Gold.
Prefer the leather strap than a bracelet.

Thanks for the interesting article. FWIW below are my most preferred Gold Speedmaster watches:

1. Any 1969 Gold Speedmaster awarded to an astronaut,

You missed it several years back the 18K Speedmaster given to President Richard Millhouse Nixon was on the auction block.....with box.....
For what it is worth, if you check the case weight on an older Rolex Pres. and the newer ones around 1990's
you might be surprised.
FYI Rolex donates monies to Orphanages and watchmaking schools such as WOSTEP.
I do like their movements, but there are alot of other watches I like better.

There is something special about a solid gold Speedmaster. Years back I had the opportunity to try on a friends gold Speedy and I was immediately hooked. I bought this a few years back. The seconds pic is my friends bracelet that he let me borrow a few times!

The article talks about the 5 best gold Speedmaster watches. I think it could have easily been expanded to 10 best. So many wonderful offerings in solid gold!
