The cheesy sound effects in these nuclear explosions annoy me...they are the same in just about every one you see.

Rather than nit pick on a minor point (noting there was no actual explosion in the Vulcan exercise story) I like to keep it encouraging and positive,

·I shy away from all the propoganda and stuggle when you see any lives being lost. But this one did touch a nerve, and any combat pilots I have met always knew it from a young age - I just hope luck let them end up on the right side and they make it through.

·This video reminds me a little of "The Few" in the Battle of Britain. Those pilots were outnumbered and flying against the most formidable, battle hardened air force the world had yet seen. It was a close rum thing but in the end they prevailed. Only time will tell if this happens in Ukraine.
It’s funny you put rum as a typo… I was reading a book by a WW2 pilot. Some of the losses in the early years were horrendous and avoidable as they slowly evolved the right the tactics and while they replaced aircraft that were outdated and outclassed. Anyway he describes a wild party drinking a rum and whiskey mix…And then leaving at 3am to drive 100m back to his base to start an operation (stopping only to illegally remove his blackout strips from the headlights as he could not see straight ;0) He did not survive the war and was a decorated and successful pilot, so I guess we can forgive the party spirit(s)

·So I have been taken up for a full Battle of Britain aerobatic experience in a T6. One of the pilots is also a display pilot on a Chipmunk team. On a recent visit to the RAF museum London, Hendon @SpeedyPhill only had eyes for the Chipmunk … well and the lightning.
People might worry about flying in an old aircraft…. While try surviving this (oldest chipmunk flying) in a modern aircraft.
