Jacques Mayol is one who had some Seamaster Apnea models named after him.
Coincidently he died in the same month and year as Peter Blake did, December 2001.

That's bizarre. I did not know that! FWIW I have the non-ac and black apnea; both winners.

Peter Blake the legend!
Seriously. Can you stop posting on Zombie threads to raise your post count. It’s obvious and is getting boring. I am sure whatever you have to sell can wait a few weeks

Post farming is expressly forbidden. This is only one of many examples.

I have nothing for sale, I'm just a fan, I think I bring a lot to the table on the Seamaster side of things , these are what I am interested in , I'm on vacation in Asia when I get home I will share pictures of my collection, not my fault the threads I bring up are old but still relevant to Seamaster enthusiast. Thanks for the hospitality !👍

Tara is a 36 metre aluminum-hulled schooner, formerly named Seamaster. Under its former name, it was owned by Peter Blake, who was shot and killed in 2001 by pirates while sailing Seamaster on the Amazon river. Following Blake's death, the yacht was bought by Etienne Bourgois, renamed Tara and dedicated to environmental expeditions.

Tara Mediterranean was the next expedition, followed by Tara Pacific which began in May 2016. During the latest voyage Tara is studying coral reefs and plastic pollution.

Here's a tour inside the legendary boat :

2232.30 150th anniversary Ti

The dial on this one is great and matches very well together with the titanium case. Unfortunately the inscription on the sides of the case was such a turn-off I decided against buying this model.
