HI Everyone! This is Martha (Alex's mom) typing for Alex. He's been off the Forum for awhile b/c he couldn't get logged in, but today he got things in order and managed to get into the forum again. Alex wants to say "hi", but more importantly to say a tremendous THANK YOU! to everyone who donated to his GoFundMe, which was set up by @gbesq We can't thank you enough for your generosity and concern!
Alex is still diligently working his rehab therapy and making progress every week. He's looking forward to seeing all your watches and keeping up with the group. He can't read or type well enough to respond to posts, but know that he's here and eager to see what everyone is up to!

Thanks for updating. We literally had a young gentleman (about 36) wheeled into our respite unit today he suffered a stroke and is at this point paralyzed and non verbal. One of the girls who works up there had to come down hang out in our office as she was overwhelmed with sadness.

This poor guy has 0 family support so I’m sure his recovery will be more difficult. I’ll be involved with his case and I’m not looking forward to it, by that I mean seeing my fellow man suffering.

Alex is very lucky to have such a supportive family. I know the money helps and I was happy to contribute a little but I think you Martha, are providing something that a dollar amount can’t be placed on. The loving support of family. I see so many who lack it.

Glad to hear Alex continues to mend peace and all good things to all those under your roof.
