Hello, my name is Darren, and I just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to be added into the group. I am just a hobbyist, with only 10 years experience of vintage watch repair and I have only recently dipped my toes in the Omega pool but already like it, so I thought I’d better join a forum. I feel a bit guilty as I’m sure I’ll be asking lots of questions and advice, but with nothing much to offer in return. Please just let me know if I’m asking too many questions. Once again thanks for letting me join the group.

You haven’t insulted anyone, insisted on a free appraisal, asked how you can circumvent Omega’s parts policies or sought input on how to defraud customs…I’m not sure how I am feeling about this.

As you have experience working on watches, you know there are no stupid questions in horology other than:
What is my watch worth?
Is this watch a good investment?
Does this watch make my wrist look fat?

Ask away and as Fred said, people here don’t read unless there are pics attached….then only small words.

JW. You did not mention the « cat pic policy » I don’t think cat photos should precede watch pics. Edit. Changed per @STANDY and @JwRosenthal who have more knowledge of forum rules. Croc pic stolen from standy..

He forgot the stealth WTB about looking for a particular make model and year but this totally isn't a WTB post.

Ah.. darn. I was about to ask all of those in my next post. How do I delete an account?

I do have a question to ask later (I’ll type it properly when I get home) and it’ll include photos too. As I said earlier, I feel guilty, there is an ulterior motive behind my application to join
