Hi All,

New here and first post so please be kind lol.
Looking at my first Omega Seamaster. Love the look of the 60s era and have seen this gem as I like the uniqueness.

Case and Face look pretty reasonable from my research. Just wondering if there are any bits i should be looking for? From what i can see the movement and face look to be original.

Thank you all in advance

Dial looks legit but I agree it should have steel hands (or even black).
The other possibility is that the dial and hands came from a gold gap watch and have had the case swapped.
Not necessarily a major issue if it’s cheap but as a result it shouldn’t demand top dollar

Ah amazing thanks for the heads up mate. Is it missing a bezel? It looks a bit unfinished for some reason.

Just to show a better look of the bezel

Thanks dude. He’s asking circa £1100. Does that seem reasonable? I haven’t seen one other piece like this so hard to have a judgement.
No the 166.002 doesn’t have a bezel

No that’s too much.

The last few i sold I think were between £750-950 and were the more desirable black dial. A white dial with the wrong hands should be several hundred less.
Tbh the gold hands would bug me and I’d likely pass anyway.

Thank mate. I’ll steer clear then. Anywhere you could recommend to look for my first Seamaster?

Technical dial? Here, eBay and lots of patience.

Silver dial? Same, but should take less patience.
