I understand the morphing into a more formal mode of dress as the weather gets cooler. And the seasonality of of a gold watch can match up well with that clothing shift.

But I wear these gold cased/leather strap watches with jeans and a button down shirt or a polo just as readily as a suit or sport jacket and slacks. In my view, all of the watches I’ve shown are able to stand alone as a nice looking piece. Almost like a nicely framed picture or painting- it is almost universal in that it can be placed nearly anywhere.

So, with that in mind, I tend to wear these watches regardless of either the formal or informal clothing I’m wearing on a particular day.

…. Ahh… does wearing this gold watch make me look old?🙄
Atta boy, and well said. It is a lovely line up. That beefy lugged Omega is particularly choice

The Nomos is the most recent addition. And must say, I now regret holding off getting one for as long as I did. Very solid, very enjoyable watch and it's staying in rotation for the foreseeable future.

All of these are in regular rotation. The Explorer sees the least wrist time, but when it's up, it's such a pleasure to feel that old feeling again -- it was my singular daily-wear for some 3+ years. The Pateks all sort of happened in a whirlwind flurry of unexpected alignments that lead to inevitabilities. I love each, but the 5227R -- hands down -- closest to my heart. I adore it to absolute stupid degrees, and if I had to explain why, it wouldn't make any sense.

Unsolicited tip to aspiring Patek owners: 1) Choose your AD and salesperson very carefully. 2) Just be a true collector, and remain honest and very real in that relationship. Experienced sales people see right through bullshit, every time, because that's all they deal with all day long.

I think your tip on the straightforward approach to a PP AD salesperson is pretty much universal, not only for PP AD’s, but for trading and dealing in general. I agree that most people can see right through an unauthentic, BS-based buyer.

The 5227R is just such a simply elegant watch. And rose gold cased watches are a personal favorites mine. The other gold PP shown with the beaded bezel and sub seconds is very attractive to me. What is that reference?

The Nomos adds a fine counterpoint of color and style to your squad. Go team!

6119R and it’s honestly a stunner in real life.
