Now I am really curious about your input if someone asks about a Nipple Dial.😁
I see.......from the first time I am attracted to Omega, I feel it is a more understated brand compare to Rolex. Probably the brand image of certain watch attract different group of people, too.
See my point?
Why put peope in small sqare boxes?
.....which 3 (or 4?) are rare Gold Seamaster Pie Pan 🥰

Today my brother-in-law contacted me and said, he is looking into buying a Rolex. I asked him, whether that watch is to be worn daily or be kept as a potential investment. He came back and said this,
What I am looking for is a watch to wear everyday…what do u think of the watch below and the price…

Cheers,
I informed him, while there are some vintage Rolex watches that are uncommon and highly collectible but definitely, not the model reference 16713. Furthermore, the asking price is outrageous.
Thank-you.
The price is probably only 5% above market price in Jakarta. Certainly not outrageous. Modern used Rolex price is traded at very thin range. It is like a commodity. When you bought a used Rolex in Jakarta the store will give you buy back guarantee ANYTIME (with similar condition) only at 10% discount for older than 2005 and 5% for newer than 2005. For other brand the buyback guarantee is at 20% discount.
That's why they are very very popular. Very low risk investment with bragging and showing rights.
Went to the boat club for some evening work on the boat. Had a bit of a problem that I want to vent with you guys. As I know Omegas to be wimpy, I strapped on a sturdy Rolex on top of the Connie. To shield it from harm. Worked fine but the SS oyster case worked its way into the soft gold - leaving marks on the case. What am I to do?
