#3 234.10.39.20.01.001 is out of production and prices are priced over retail on the secondary market. #1 and #2 both in production buy at a discount and should keep value probably not increase much #2 may appreciate more than #1. Another reference worth a look at, discontinued and may rise in value is 233.32.41.21.01.001. The Seamaster 300 41 mm Spectre Limited Edition. It has a bidirectional 12 hour bezel which makes it a two time zone watch.

Number #1 for sure. The modern Seamaster 300 is the best dive watch on the market and a truly inspired and unique design. Its a watch if it's time, the best Omega can make at that price point.
The others are vintage re-issues.

Thanks for the help guys and I have to say for my first experience using the forum I am really impressed with how good and helpful the advice has been. I have decided to go with #3 on the basis that the 39mm case, and the fact that its slightly slimmer may sit better on my 6 3/4 wrist. Also I'm hoping that it will retain and increase in value given that it is a limited edition. Only time will tell I suppose but I hope to never have to sell it on. Thanks again for the help!

Couldn't go wrong with any of the three choices but the Trilogy is lovely. I prefer mine on a whole host of straps rather than the bracelet but it is a classic

I don't think any of the three would increase much more than the other over 5 years. I had #2 in blue/titanium but sold it. I did not find it too thick. I liked it, but didn't love it. I have the gray SMP, I really love it. #3 I have given a look, it's quite nice, but a tad too small for my liking.

Have you tried all three on?

I have 300M from the 90s (like watch #1) and a new to me 41 mm 300 (watch #2). Really love the #2. I didn't love watch #3 when I looked, but go with that speaks to you.

As of tomorrow I will have all three available to me so will probably spend the entire day trying on etc. Wish I could keep all three buy alas I am not that fortunate. I suppose I will have a better idea then. I did originally like #1 however sinceseeing it the dial seems very busy and a bit too glossed for me. Still a beautiful piece and if I could keep it I certainly would.

I do like the older 300M from the bond era. I will certainly add one to my collection eventually and i have seen that they can be acquired at some great prices in the pre owner market.

Get a healthy discount on #1 and you're good to go 😀

I have no.2 and it’s a great piece. I have it on any number of nato straps and it looks superb. Sizing is perfect (closer to 40mm I believe). I dislike the other Seamaster models as I find them chintzy and busy. The Trilogy model may just feel a little underwhelming in size. Either way they are great watches with great movements and you can’t go wrong. 2 & 3 will probably retain value better, but they’re not Rolex (which is why you can actually try them on and buy them !!)

I personally think Omega is the wrong brand if short term appreciation is the driving factor, there just too many produced for them to increase dramatically over a 5 year circle. Saying that, the Seamaster Diver is still in production so second hand prices will be a bit lower than what they are for new. The Seamaster 300 is out of production, the new version will dictate what happens to this generations prices. The trilogy is a limited numbers so there is a finite quantity so in my opinion is the most likely to increase. I also think the trilogy offers the most interesting prospect, a genuine attempt at a remake of a vintage piece, not a reinterpretation. Also the packaging is hands down the best.

Trilogy.

As it is in the running, it is a easy call for me. The other two are still fantastic watches but the trilogy SM just feels special on the wrist.

Keep in mind, this year we may see a new SM 300. I also love that watch but never purchased one. Its just a little too chunky for me. The way the case, bezel and crystal sit seems to add unnecessary height. There is talk of a slimmed down new version and a tapered bracelet. A few dial tweaks too and the reintroduction of the lollypop seconds hand. I personally think, with the trilogy now diminishing and only available on the used market, the new 300 would be an excellent new refinement in design. Much like what we have seen with the new speedmaster.
