I purchased this watch because I believe it looks classy, with fancy lugs design, however I would value your thoughts on strap options for it.

I have one more concern please, do you believe there is any radium in this watch, I just noticed that the back is not sealed, there seller was honest and posted the photo of the case, but it seems I did notice it then.

I was advised the there is any radium on this dial mainly bcoz it was already repainted (and therefore radium was removed long ago). Mold on the caseback is not due to radioactivity, but rather metal oxidation, sweat and dust.

Original dial, spot the shape of the "2" and "8"

Radium was only used on luminous dials. Yours never was luminous. Your case looks the way it does because the rolled gold cap has been worn through. I would just fine a simple leather strap for this watch.

I see, thanks a lot for confirming this.

While it sucks that your example is so worn, one cool thing about it is that you can see just how thick RGP is compared to electroplated gold. RGP is pretty robust, so this watch was probably worn daily for decades. The wear on the lugs comes from rubbing on shirt cuffs, but the wear on the back comes from acids in the skin of the original owner, that is why the wear is so different there.

Thanks a for your prospective, I still do not this skills of an analyzing vintage watches and yes I agree with that that RGP is different than electroplated gold, I was looking for this model for sometime as I Like it, hope I will develop more skills in the future
