Are those Omega or aftermarket?

Its a great mix, congratulations!

Sugar on top?!
You are joking!
I am no big friend of NATOs therefore the boutique manager offered these two further parts to the LE. Not for free but for full boutique price. So there has been 700€ sugar in top.
The pain is gone. [emoji12]

Sorry now references available

Of course it comes with a lot of pain.... I will have to pay even more (my guess) considering the pieces will be ordered on request

Its what you have to do to have a really cool watch in your hand is my guess

I will be waiting for those references 😀 Thanks

heres some quick shots i took of it

That looks great... thats what I want for my watch. Do you know the references of the strap & deployant?

My only concern are the curved spring bars of this model, will they fit any 20mm leather strap?

It seems as the deployant #94521829 will fit any 20-18 leather strap. Am I right?

Sorry about all the fuss, but I keep on getting mixed information. Acording to my local Omega AD any 20mm will fit my watch, acording to respectable international Omega AD only certain models will the the job....

I do not know the references, didn't think to look, its a titanium deployment buckle so there is probably not many of those.

The watch looks stunning on titanium.

This is probably top of my want-to-buy list.

I have only seen them on eBay for £5.5k ($8.6k) though. Is that the sort of money I'd have to pay for a second hand model in good condition?

Hello Everyone

I finally took a chance with my local Omega AD and he got for me a very nice strap, its the same used in an Omega Tresor.

I couldnt be happier with it, here are some pics, light didnt help me a lot though but it looks great, the sedga gold buckle adds a lot to the mix

Thanks to everyone who helped me out in this!

Hello Everyone

Has anybody fitted end links and a leather strap to this particular model?

I do have some "air" in between the watch and the strap, so I think it could be possible.

Thanks

Andres

I understand that Tourneau (or maybe its Tourbillon) in Miami still has two unsold 45's. If need be I can get that info.

When you get a non-NATO strap they switch out the curved spring bars for straight ones. Make sure they are right for the band. Omega identifies spring bars by watch model as I recall, and I had the tech at the boutique use the wrong one. It certainly made an interesting look on the titanium bracelet.

I understand the original brown Nato strap that comes with this watch uses curved spring bars.
Is there a special benefit, can regular straight 20mm spring bars fit or cause any damage?

This leads me to another question on the newly released Omega Nato straps for the Speedy.
Do those come with curved spring bars as well? if not why not?

I just confirmed from an Omega guy that Omega sells curved end straps only for the 44 mm Speedmaster and most Seamasters. Unfortunate.

The new Omega Nato straps do not come with curved spring bars. As for why they're used on the Apollo 11 45th Anniversary.....who knows? Maybe they put them in to get some extra clearance from the rose gold bezel. Maybe they thought it needed the extra room to accommodate the first run of these leather and coated nylon straps, but after more research and real-world usage thought otherwise when they decided to offer the black coated nylon straps for retail purchase.
I've used my black coated nylon nato on the Speedy Pro with curved and straight spring bars and while I prefer the curved bars the straight feels comfortable as well. The only reason I like the curved is that it makes the watch position on the strap easier to adjust.

Hate to reopen old threads, but I've got a 45LE that I'm now searching for a strap for. I for one love the original brown NATO, but living in New York with its swampy summers makes a leather-lined NATO kind of obsolete... Does anyone know of a similar-looking strap (aftermarket or otherwise) that's just a regular nylon NATO? Most olive drab NATOs I see are a bit too brightly-colored, or "rugged-looking," or both.

The OEM maker of the Omega brown nato has a studio in NYC that will custom make you a strap with the exact same color and material (brown coated nylon) and they have different liners to choose from.
As for straps that might wear cooler, the Hirsch Performance series is highly recommended.

Yeah, I was hoping to avoid the high cost of an actual Omega-quality NATO, just hoped for a similar color and weave (in a lower-quality material of course). Maybe I'll stop into Rousseau and see what they charge though. Thanks!
