Strange stuff on hour marker.

I have this old Omega (ref.135.010) which has some weird substance on the 4.o´clock marker, it looks a little like the stuff you could see on the terminals on old car batteries.

I have had the watch for some years, and it only started a couple of years ago, and i have no idea what it is or where it comes from.

Maybe someone knows?

Well I’d get a watchmaker to remove it - if it come lose, and gets into the movement, you could have issues

also, it looks terrible

Looks like there might be some on one of the hands, too.
I think the minute hand has trimmed off the deposit a little from the marker.

Thanks to all.

Yes it would probably be a good idea to have a watchmaker look at it.
