I bought a watch that was shipped via Fedex International Priority from Bologna Italy on August 3rd. When the package arrived in a "mailbox" plastic bag everything looked normal with no tampering. I opened the bag and took out a cardboard box, then proceeded to open the cardboard box which was taped up. Inside the box was another airpak bag which was slit open and inside that bag was a small ziplok bag. But intead of my watch it was a plastic caster.
The seller had sent me pictures of the packaging before he shipped it and it became obvious the cardboard box had also been tampered with (different colored tape).
I am insured for the loss buobviously prefer to have the watch. If any one is offered or see a Longines 13.33, 18kyg Chronograph, serial number 4811712 please pm me or contact the police, it's a stolen watch Longines caseback 13.33 from Lorenzo.jpg Longines inside caseback 13.33 from Lorenzo.jpg longines mvt 1333 lorenzo.jpg Longines dial 13.33 from Lorenzo.jpg

Thats really sad, looks like intercepted and watch removed. There were few cases like that during pandemic in UK.

    What did the courier say?

That's tough, bad luck. I only hope that it will surface as a watch and that the thief isn't just interested in the gold content.

God, I hope they don't go the gold content route. That would break my heart.

Dear Forum members…first of all I like to introduce myself… I am an Omega fan for many years from the Netherlands, following your posts with great interest.
I was triggered by the post of JohnLy about his stolen Longines watch because something similar happened to me a few years ago. I bought a constellation pie pan cal.561 serial# 23948210 from a respectable well known dealer from Mexico, which was shipped by Fedex.
On arrival at my home adress I noticed that the package had been opened somewhere because it was sealed again with an unusual purple tape reading federal express revista…after unpacking it completely I found out that the package was empty !
Between Mexico and Amsterdam the package must have been opened by customs or Fedex , an investigation had been started
with the same result as JohnLy : no answers or any reaction from the shipper to me or to the dealer.
Unfortunatelly the watch was not fully insured ( the first ánd last time I made that mistake ) and the dealer promised me to look after a similar watch to sell to me again without taking the profit…I am still waiting !
I will add some pictures from the watch and package ( not sharp because taken from the selling webside )… thanks again for sharing all your knowledge..best regards.

I sympathize and share your frustration with the lack of answers from both the shipper and carrier. It almost like they cannot be bothered and as far as they are concerned they got paid period, it ends there for them.
Hope you get another constellation they are great watches.
    Best
    John

I am not very happy at all. The insurance company is still investigating it so I have not given up hope yet.
It is a very lovely wrist watch, if they don't find this one I hoe to find another.
