Can you give any details on the theft? For example, was it left in your car overnight for a smash & grab, or was this a transaction gone wrong?

It was a transaction 'gone bad'. Guy bought it off our website paid full price thru Shopify we sent it to address on order, which was not his address, but same last name, went to the house where it was delivered and said the shipper, us, had the wrong address and the owner of the house gave him the package without asking any questions. As soon as he received the package he initiated a chargeback. I contacted him as soon as I found out, he confirmed that he had the watch and proceeded to tell me 'to suck my balls'. The cell # still works but it can't be traced to an address. As much as I can find out he is in either the Tampa area where the watch was mailed or Palm Beach. He goes by the name of Barry Jones or David Jones.

Thanks I believe that he is African American, in his 20's/30's. Not much else to report other than the photos that I already posted. Be safe and thank you.

That's really unfortunately to hear, especially the insult added to injury after the theft. I hope you're able to get it returned to you.

Sorry to hear it. Do you know why Shopify is giving him a chargeback if he knowingly provided the wrong address?

Check to see if he buys watches on Craigslist or something. Try and match it. See if he tries to buy watches locally somehow. I am in south Florida. If he does. I can pretend like I am going to sell him a watch and show up with a cop.

Kind of crazy there isn’t any fraud protection based on the fact the seller provided the address through Shopify (eg customer provided and logged) and the shipping details match with your shipping receipt.

No way to contest with the credit card as an appropriate charge?
