^^ Sounds like he works in a hospital environment with plenty of exposure... I could see wanting to take some extra measures.
Yes, I agree. I’m not advising against extra measures. Certainly can’t do any harm.

I completely forgot I have a portable UV light cleaner for my masks lololol I only used it on cloth surfaces. I know UV exposure over time fades paint so it’s a no from me hahaha

Best home sterilisation strategy is a Labrador Retriever...

Seriously (speaking as a surgeon here) if you're that worried about work exposure on your watch, you shouldn't be wearing it. Most ICUs now have "naked from the elbows" policies, or are covered by gowns. If you do wear it, soap and water is fine: cheap, and works.

Thanks for your answer. But i still need to time pulses and breaths per minute at the bedside, and i have found the rotating bezel valuable during resuscitations. Going basic with soap and water sounds best.

It's a Plant Ocean. Daily soap and water most certainly is not going to hurt it (assuming the crown is secure). Scrub away!

I was surprised to see how long the Covid virus can last on steel, plastic and glass - (3-7 days depending on what you read and temperature).

Most of my readings say it’s very hard to get infected this way though.

To the OP, I think your conclusion of soap and water is best.

But a somewhat watch enthusiast solution may be to rationalize getting 7+ watches. Then you just rotate every day 😉.

Well that is what I’m going to rationalize to myself!
