I may have missed this on the forums but it would appear that the Stainless Steel version of FOIS Speedmaster has been discontinued. The screenshot below was taken at 19:40 on 1st October.

If anyone has plans to buy one new it looks like it is dealer stock only from now on until that runs out.

We've gotta remember that the FOIS is still probably in the windows of many AD's and OB's around the world. So it'll take a while for any value increase.

I don't think it's actually discontinued but I'll go to the Boutique tomorrow with a card in hand just in case!

My thoughts are that the watch is no longer being made by Omega, therefore once stock in dealers is sold then getting hold of a new one will be down to trawling websites looking for that NOS watch.

Hold on there, folks. DO NOT PANIC. When Omega says 'no longer available', that often just means 'OUT OF STOCK' but still in production. Several times the Apollo 8 has been listed as 'no longer available' and then becomes available again. In fact on the US site today the Apollo 8 is shown 'no longer available' but I will bet $1,000 that it becomes available again. I seriously doubt Omega is discontinuing the FOIS.

You may well be right but for some watches you get OOS on the summary screen then when you go into the detail watch page you get the no longer available message.

Also the price on the summary page is pre increase but when you go on the detailed watch page the new price is displayed.

If anyone can get some clarity it would be helpful.

I do wonder though...with the expectation that the standard moonwatch will have the new 3861 calibre, what will become of this reference?

In fantasy land, the new Speedmaster Professional 42mm with have the 3861, and the First Omega In Space is re-released with Hesalite and the 321

"If" the supply (of brand new ones) is gone, is the demand high?

That's how the "supply and demand" equation works? 😀

From last weekend till tonight, the Seamaster Professional 300m 210.30.42.20.03.001 (bought mine from an AD last month) is showing "no longer available" this is the Blue dial/bezel/ bracelet model that is one of their best selling watches, the black & grey versions are available, as well as the same watch on a rubber strap. Sincerely doubt that they would discontinue this, so, like you, I believe it's out-of-stock awaiting more to arrive. From the videos I've seen, the METAS testing takes a significant amount of time, so on a high volume, high demand watch demand sometimes outstrips supply. It'll be back as well as the FOIS, patience, patience....

Interestingly, the FOIS is now showing available on the US website tonight, but the 210.30.42.20.03.001 Seamaster 300m (blue on bracelet) is still not available.

In the words of Corporal Jones, “Don’t panic!” Back on in the UK.

I said it wasn't discontinued four days ago. People get all wee wee'd up over nothing and then a mini panic ensues.
