Anyone own a Seiko SLA017 and a FOIS Speedmaster?

Hi All,

I’ve been looking for a reasonably—sized diver and fell in love with the SLA017. Since it’s been long sold-out, I won’t be able to try one on before buying, but I noticed that all of the case dimensions are very close to those of the FOIS Speedmaster, which I own and love the size/feeling of. So the question is this: does anyone here own (or owned) both watches, and if so, do they wear about the same?

I don’t own the FOIS , but I do own the SLA017 & Speedmaster Moonwatch . I haven’t really noticed any difference in size but both are extremely comfortable to wear & I have a 7.5” wrist . I couldn’t say one is better than the other really but it’s a joy to own both . But the SLA017 was a run of only 2000 which makes it feel quite special to own as Seiko don’t really go down the LE route very often , given the multitude of watches offered by them . So if you can get a SLA017 I cannot recommend it highly enough, to me it’s the best Seiko in the last 50 years ( obviously I’m not biased )
