That is a super nice CJ!

Thanks...it is a 1984 CJ-7, photo taken in 1984 (first one anyway), so it was new and all.馃槈

Nice one! My wife's favourite car of all time was her e30 325ix. Grainy photo....

Since it was AWD it was the winter car, and when it finally had large enough problems that it wasn't reliable enough for our one and only winter car, we sold it to our mechanic, and got her an e46 325xi. That was well over 10 years ago, and it had close to 300,000 km on it at that point. He spent a couple of months in his spare time going over it and finding used replacement parts (the ix was not as common, so parts were more difficult to come by) and when it was done he gave it to his son to drive.

About 2 years in, the son ended up having an accident, and it wiped most of the front end off. But they rebuilt it and it's still going...

Great little car and although she has owned 3 other AWD BMW's since this one, the e30 was the best going through deep snow!

aren't they the best? our e30 is 160k miles (actually the replaced engine is 210k) and purrs on the highway. our e34 wagon is almost 270k on all-original drivetrain, hauls cement and lumber (we're in real estate lol) and keeps up with the muscle cars on I-95...
you had a great e30 there. i'm so glad to hear she's still alive and kicking! 馃榾

It was a glorious 'spring-like' day in Atlanta, and I had to go for a spin after lunch, today.
I hadn't had the 'ol 'RagTop' out on such a nice day for quite some time, so I changed Connies, and headed out:

How about you? And if the weather's not cooperating, what will you do? Anyone still using...tonneau covers?

I like mine pretty much with the hard top on all year long.

Easter Blessings from the Sonoran desert, where spring is most definitely sprung, and so is the '66 Pulsus Medicus:

Unfortunately, the 'ragtop' is 1500 miles away right now馃檨.. However, I did find a pic of my very first, a 1972 Fiat 124 Spyder:

Ah, the memories!

Wow, memories, that was my first rag-top in Malaya in 1976. A while later, after a few hard tops, a Mazda MX5 (Miata in the US).

After a mix of about 30 cars and twenty bikes I'm now a grumpy old man with a VW Golf R and a Vespa 300 GTS.

So I guess the Vespa is my "open air ride" nowadays. 馃榿

Hey me too! (well, minus the 'old man' part 馃槑 )
