It was a glorious 'spring-like' day in Atlanta, and I had to go for a spin after lunch today. I hadn't had the 'ol 'RagTop' out on such a nice day for quite some time, so I changed Connies, and headed out: How about you? And if the weather's not cooperating, what will you do? Anyone still using...tonneau covers?
Not all that warm in Canada today...... so we needed something with a windshield...... (picture taken last fall)
Unfortunately for me, its 45 and raining here in Chicago, and the S Type R is still in winter hibernation mode. Its not a drop top, but it has a sunroof and 4 times the horsepower of the Honda. I can't wait for warmer weather so I can get her fired up.
Raining here but when the weather is nice, the Jeep makes for a nice ride. Pic is a couple years ago when Mrs Fling and I were around Vail Colorado doing some trails in the snow.
With only 10% of Northern Territory roads sealed its 4x4 up my way. But with having one of the worlds last unlimited speed limit roads here also we get many a visit from cars from around the world shipped here ( like Top Gear boys with a Bently recently) for a unwind..
Long gone now, but it was fun... This one also gone, but was even more fun... No ragtops in this family anymore. I have my little beater... And the wife's new car from last summer... I WILL be test driving an M2 when they are available though!
Time to store the hardtop methinks? My main business is Roadtrip Luggage, the best known and probably the largest manufacturer of custom roadster luggage in the USA, if not the world
Huh, coulda used that knowledge 10yrs ago when I was a dumb college student and had a Honda S2000 as my only car. Trips to the grocery store were real interesting.... not to mention move-out day! Sadly the car is long gone now
Well we didn't have a product for the S2K 10 years ago . Was hemming and hawing about what we do about that square hole in the center of the trunk. Actually started the business when I drove my MR2 from LA to NYC, and realized that dang it, there must be a better place to put my clothes than the passenger seat! We like to do creative stuff, like this for the Z3 - 2 duffels plus a triangular bag that goes into that triangular shaped far end of the trunk:
Nice. Well if ever I buy a car again, I'll keep this in mind! (That square hole perfectly fit a case of water bottles BTW )
Sadly I don't have a convertible I'd really like an old Triumph or maybe a 2016 Miata now that they made one that doesn't look like a chic car.
I drove one of these round the sporting layout yesterday. I might get this out the garage tomorrow if it's sunny.
Hey, I drive a chic car [emoji41] sweet. Oh wait, you meant chick car [emoji22] Just do it. Real men 'wink' with pop ups. [emoji6]
