·Hello everyone,
I've been working on a reference tool for vintage Speedmaster collectors and wanted to share it with this community.
SpeedyBase aggregates data from multiple sources into a single searchable database covering all seven pre-moon references. A lot of the data was originally sourced from discussions and contributions on these forums - this is an attempt to pull it all together into one searchable, structured place. The goal is to make it easier to research a specific watch before buying, or to track market trends across references.
The database currently includes:
• 1,659 auction results (Phillips, Christie's, Sotheby's, Antiquorum, and others)
• 295 registered watches with serial numbers, dial/caseback variants, and verification status
• 47 Omega extract records with delivery dates and destinations
• Reference profiles with sub-reference breakdowns and distinguishing features
• Parts identification matrix for dials, hands, bezels, and casebacks
The registry is open for community submissions. Entries within known serial ranges are automatically approved; anything outside range is flagged for community validation. If you have an extract or photo evidence, submissions are accepted immediately regardless of range.
The goal is to get community consensus on data accuracy for all to use.
I'd appreciate any feedback from this community - particularly on data accuracy, since many of you know these references better than anyone.
