Anyone have any knowledge of speedybase.org all over my social media asking for owners of vintage watches to upload details inc EOA's

Was taught to be cautious and before i even contemplate adding my collection details was wondering if it was a forum member?

I would strongly advise against inputing that sort of detail into any of those sites. There are a ton of them that are mostly vibe coded with zero attention to data safety and by giving them information, you’re effectively casing your own home.

Information about your collection is best stored in an excel spreadsheet on a secure device under your own control.

I agree, was more hoping to start a conversation on the forum which would either highlight the owners good or indeed bad intentions

I think people just get excited and want to build something cool, it’s getting pretty frustrating as we have them come here and spam their website here trying to get customers or traffic but it happens so constantly, typically with the same type of AI generated and designed site that we remove all of them to prevent being inundated.

It’s super easy now to make a website, more so than at any point in history, but the important stuff like data security, thinking about the potential risks and consequences of data and PII you collect and store tend to be the first casualties.

The result is a dream for bad actors and those harvesting information.
