One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet, or if it has been I haven't noticed, is that since Omega seem to be moving away from the LE model towards limited production, the ST series may well be the only Limited Edition model Speedmaster released in the near future. I can't see Omega making the ST3 (whatever it is, if indeed it happens at all) a long term production thing like they the have with Snoopy3 and the Ed White Director's Cut.
I dunno about that. We had at least five Tokyo 2020 watches, one or two every time a new James Bond movie is released. There's the 2022 Olympics model. A NASA commemorative almost every year...
Is the 2022 Winter Olympic SM an LE? The press releases call it a Special Edition with no mention of production number. The NTTD isn't limited either is it? Find me a 2020/21 LE and then we can talk!
Before I de-lazy myself and look stuff up, I remember being at the Aventura OB a few years ago and they showed me two James Bond Seamasters. I guess this was for "Skyfall." One was a limited edition and the other wasn't.
There is no argument that Omega used to release LEs like No 50 buses (one along every 6 minutes) but that model seems to have changed at the end of 2019. We discussed this a few weeks ago and the most recent LE Speedmasters we could think of were the Met FOIS and the Hodinkee Harlequin watch. Now that was only Speedies and there may have been an LE in another line since then but it does seem that Omega are moving away from that type of release.

I would rather not speculate, but I expect a " Chuck Maddox " tribute Omega Speedmaster as in 2022, Chuck would have been 60 years old...
Chuck Maddox was the first to put Omega info on the internet... Sadly he passed away May 12, 2008 馃檨
