Speedy Tuesday Limited Edition Speculations?

Omega likes these 'limited production' numbered editions, it gives them maximum revenue, and it revs up the hype over a longer period of time. Perhaps they rushed something into production to take advantage of the current market, or perhaps their prior statements were just a smokescreen. Personally, I prefer discrete ST edition sizes of 2,012.

I agree, numbering without a denominator feels a bit lame.

Apollo XV was missed I’ve asked many times, i can’t get an answer. May be simply Covid and 321 + preparation of Snoopy3.
They won’t miss Apollo XVII.
You have to remember that Gene Cernan was a Omega ambassador and was closely tied with them if I recall properly.
The case back of Apollo XVII 45th is tribute to Gene Cernan (he died just before the release). No one else had their name singled out in a tribute or all of them (in the distant past of the mission patches).
They would not release Apollo XVII and ST3 at the same time at year end, it make no sense at all, dilute the news/buzz, marketing 101 (they are seriously good at it).
My logical view is ST3 first (how can they miss it, and why would RJ spill the beans??) and Apollo XVII 50th on the first Tuesday of January.
I will get both no doubt.

The force is strong between the Fratellis & Omega, just look at the latest event!

Your predictions are as good as any and those would be fun editions.

Here's a forward from Cernan's book where he discusses the Speedmaster.

I'm already saving up for those two releases. I try not to get distracted by other watches on my list. 😁 I'm so curious about the design of the potential ST3. But looking at the first two releases I will not disappoint I think.
