·I hope sanity prevails and no one buys at that price. At least until my place on the wait list gets the congratulations email. (Although I have no idea how to explain to Mrs C what I'm doing trying to source another watch this year)

The world is still round, it is always going to be early somewhere. I got up at 2:45am to watch the 23 min spectacle.
I do agree once you reserve one , you should be made to go in the Omega AD/Boutique where you will take delivery and pay a deposit.
I tried to get 1979 for my birthyear but when it wasn't available on first try I just took random number. Ended up with 285 so pretty low 😁
😜With you on this. Would have loved a special number, but i was so frantic and worried about the site going down i just wanted to get in and out as quick as possible.
Doing away with the number choice probably would reduce server load a bit.
Now I've reserved one. TIme to study up on history:

What if you live 3500km from a boutique or AD ?
Well, this isn't exactly about Ultraman, it's more about the collectors who have loved their orange-hand 145.012s and nicknamed them for the show it appeared in. The reedition does add a bit more actual Ultraman things because simply releasing a new Speedmaster with just an orange hand would have been boring
on the 'plus' side, only about 2,000 people in the entire world will have the dishonor of having to own one of these. 😉
