The "hype" is nothing more than a watch forum echo chamber of biased parties convincing each other that their "investments" are rising in "value".
There is currently one for sale on a Dutch online marketplace with asking price €4750: http://link.marktplaats.nl/m1314529813 (I don’t know the seller though)
Also on a Dutch forum someone was speculating that there might be 1953 Omega Speedmaster TinTin’s produced as 1953 was the year when the TinTin episode ‘Destination Moon’ was first published. Somehow this makes sense to me.
And finally, here’s mine 😀
HQMilton Tintin
2016 Omega Speedmaster Professional 311.30.42.30.01.004 "Tin Tin" Dial with Box
$4,250
Anybody lookin for a deal, there it is. They price watch to sell.
interesting speculation on Omega issuing a new Destination Moon Tin Tin.
Thanks, however I didn’t mean a new TinTin but the speculation was actually that there might have been 1953 Speedmaster TinTin watches produced when it was introduced in 2013.
This could make sense also because the introduction date is exactly 60 years after ‘Destination Moon’ was first published.
I cant understand why OMEGA don't want to officially inform the public about the actual number of "tintin" watches produced!!!
Is this info a government top secret??? We all know that there are 2000 or less pieces of this reference produced.
So why they keep "feeding" the mystery behind that?
Good price but note that it has no papers.
