This is probably as close as we are ever going to get to seeing that grail piece without a trip to the museum.

Serendipity or you are just good luck Oddboy. Minutes after your post I got a message from Stewart saying the finished strap had been dispatched. the wait is almost over.

Been following this thread since I accidentally bought a speendy TinTin last week (serial in the list already):

Looking for a strap so I can use wear it without fear of trashing the bracelet..... and this watch looks better on straps...
maybe something like this (with an Omega SS buckle of course) ?

Congrats on the watch and welcome to the forum. my question is... how do you accidentally buy a speedy :p:D
For the strap i would prefer something more simple/plain, as the dial has enough character by its own

Is the serial already in the list because you added it, or the previous owner added it?

If using the mark-recapture method of population estimation, the rate of recapture (or how frequently a known serial resurfaces) is the key part of the calculation, so it's important to know when a serial is new, but also when a know serial pops up again with another owner.

Just received this today: Hirsch Medici Leonardo. Please excuse the phone camera shots. Looks good with the Tintin dial to my eye...

There is BNIB one located in Japan for $3,200 that has been available for quite some time. Someone finally snatch it (I would have but still managed to locate mine in continental U.S.)!!
