Interesting thread for sure...I have the 777807xx featured in the Fratello article so not sure if that is the number you have in your serial list? I sent @Robert-Jan the pics before I joined the site as a writer.

Funny, I remember seeing the watch at Basel and it struck me. I then looked at it duty free in Heathrow and almost bought it but was torn between it and the normal Pro. Finally, I bought the piece at Ace in Amsterdam.

By the way, I remember when the watch was first shown and people here (everywhere) panned it as another bad Omega edition and a money grab...I agreed! It's funny how the heart grows fond of originally shunned pieces (Explorer 1655 anyone? 馃槈 )...

It's one of those watches that looked like absolute crap on Omega's own site with the "too bright" lighting, but in person it's a real beauty. I like the dial detail up close...definitely reminds me of something older. Lastly, I'm not a big fan of the current Speedy bracelet. Those little polished links irk me and "steal" from the dial of any Pro but especially the TinTin! The watch looks fab on a black rally strap.

Cool thread...will watch it with interest!

Mike

Have to agree, Mike, especially in regards to the current bracelet. I am wearing it on a GGB velcro while I wait for my Heuerville Charcoal rally strap to arrive.

Really a informative topic that I have missed out till today , and am very happy to wear my tintin for past 3 weeks, felt comfort with hirsch Leonardo straps 馃榾. Feeling very lucky after reading through all pages , realizing that I had paid about US$2700 for my piece 馃榾

Most blokes can't pull off a shirt like that though, the striped cuff looks badass, very Flavio Briatore-esque 馃槈

But I think that is the great thing about the Tintin and Speedys in general; they look great with the OEM bracelets and (sometimes) even better with straps! I am awaiting a Hirsch Medici to try with mine...hope it looks as great as the others in this thread!

Joking aside, you are spot on imho with that. I am waiting for my Heuervile moonrock grey to try it on.

I like the Heureville straps quite a bunch on my speedies. They are quite thick though, at least the ones I got.

@blubarb, pics when they come in! I know it can be a bit of a wait!
