With all the people buying multiples, someone probably has one they'll be willing to part with... for the right price.

I would like to ask you where did you buy it?
I'm trying to find NOS tin tins, but no luck at all.

There are 2 NOS on Chrono24 and 1 used that looks new...

Alright Tintin fans, have the vaunted Omega Speedmaster Racing dial Tintin. Think I got a half way decent deal for the watch. Used 2016 model of the Tintin. Paid a couple bucks over 4G’s for watch, box(not a racing box) and Omega instruction booklet. Bought from a highly reputable dealer. Have seen a few other used Omega’s of this model for about the same price. New or NOS models with papers and box are in the $5,000 to $6,000 range. Thumbs up or down or just ok.

Anything under $10k is a deal as the prices are trending up and will continue. Well known collectors are big TinTin fans. It’s a $10k watch within 12 months.

The TinTin original box is the wooden box.
Correct, noted it was not a racing box. But it is a hell of nice box. Box is pristine, wrapped in plastic and put it in the safe.

When the TinTin was first released they were still using the red leatherette boxes; mid-way through the release, they switched to the wood box.

If I go to the Omega Boutique and purchase a nice strap for the Omega Tintin, would they put it on for me? I have switched out straps before, just want to avoid scratching the lug. Or are the boutique sales people gonna be some douche that is inept as myself?

New Tintin on Amazon shipping from Japan $4520
Says movement is automatic, that is a glaring mistake I would say.

If you buy a strap they’ll install it for you.

My local boutique will happily put straps on your Speedy whether you buy the strap there or not.

I have a feeling that if you check Yodobashi and BIC camera stores in Japan, there's a chance you might still find a few. I saw these in previous year's visits but thought they were nothing special at the time.

For instance, in April 2018 I found a heavily discounted Mark II reissue that had been sitting in Osaka Yodobashi since 2015.

I just bought a few NATOs and a replacement bracelet for my 2254.

With the bracelet, they handed it to me and one of the pins was still sticking out. Even after fixing that, I discovered once I got back to office that a spring bar hadn't been properly set... The bracelet was millimetres from coming apart!

Lesson is to double check, even the boutique staff arent perfect. I suspect they pay less attention to the grunt work of strap/bracelet changes compared to sales.

RJ just confirmed on a different thread that under 2000 TinTin were ever produced by Omega!!

We should take that number as an authoritative information due to his proximity to the top management of the brand IMO.

‘‘Tis true as said all along less than 2000 but many dials were destroyed and it’s speculated in the 1400-1500 range now exists but in all truth “less than 2000” is the most accurate way of stating what exists. If you own one you have a rare bird with a great back story. Expect prices to rise significantly. Buy one now if you see one.

Yes I own one and love to wear it in rotation. It’s a very good looking Speedy with a splash of red on otherwise monotonous simple dial of a Moonwatch. It has also a bright black colour on the dial instead of greyish black on regular Moonwatch, that adds to its beauty IMHO.

RJ’s original article on TinTin pushed me to buy one at a great discount (20% on mrp) from an AD two years back. They were available in plenty till last year I believe.

Hi everyone. I'm new here. I picked up a Tintin a couple of weeks ago. Mine is pre-owned but unworn with box and papers in Omega plastic from a reputable dealer. My serial number is 7779773X for the OP that's tracking it all.

I LOVE this watch. The dial is absolutely gorgeous. I love the inky colors of the dial. It really pops, particularly in bright sunlight. And I love how the printing of the red and white creates a step dial effect. I'd been looking at purchasing one for several months time but suddenly noticed them rise in price a couple of months ago. The Tintin seems to be getting more and more publicity on FB, the forums, and watch publications (i.e. Revolution). I was lucky enough to find mine for a touch over $4K USD and I was happy enough with it to pull the trigger.
