Speedy Tintin information gathering

Destination Moon(TinTin) is going to soon be in that same unobtainable arena. I know 2 dealers(well known) who have contacted me to help them track down additional TinTins. These dealers are known for hyping the silver Snoopy. Nothing wrong with their efforts but the point I’m trying to make is the writing is on the wall-this Watch is sold out-rare-and going up in price. Demand is far outpacing supply especially since collectors are hoarding rare variants like the TinTin.

Now I wish Omega would make a single center red stripe black nato to match this watch.

I am just getting curious which speedy will be rarer; TinTin or ST#2. I would love to read your opinion dear.

TinTin according to the numbers in circulation. The ST2 is a great watch. A ST2+TinTin would be an awesome duo.

Okay!! So I’m a lucky one who has both vanilla speedy and TinTin and got reserved a ST#2 as well. I was just wondering if I need to keep only 2 which one should go?
Thanks indeed for a prompt response. Regards

Dear the problem with me is that too many are very good watches that I collected in last 4-5 years browsing on watch forums. I intend to reduce my collection but which one to go is a big question. I thought I’ll not add any watch before next year Speedy 50 Anniversary Watch is out, but this Ultraman was not to be missed. What to do now. I sincerely hope that Omega mess up with Apollo 11 Watch next year....

Good problem to have! I’m sure it will sort itself out.

I would keep the Tin Tin and the ST#2, they are both limited editions, and could be difficult to replace (or would require a premium). The standard speedmaster is easily replaceable

Yes indeed. But it’ll fetch the least if I sell. I also feel that the vanilla Speedy has no substitute for a rough daily wear. It ages so well. It has a beautiful aura that is irresistible. Any strap fits so well with it that I feel it’s made for that!! How many watches you own with that versatility?

Imho keep all three as it makes for a great themed collection but also add to this a pre-moon or early 70s post-moon.

Thanks for your great suggestion. I’m looking for one good piece to add but only after the Apollo 11 50 Anniversary Watch is out.

To add a vintage watch I can wait for few years more as prices are already at their peak. This bubble may burst, who knows, to help me in my quest. Thanks again for your valuable opinion.

Here's the young man who waited for the price of real estate & vintage Omega to go down:

Hahaha. But I’ve already plenty to enjoy meanwhile!

This guy apparently lost many, if not all, opportunities on his way. Or may be OTOH he enjoyed and renounced all as the last stage of a WIS. I don’t know.

I would like to ask you where did you buy it?
I'm trying to find NOS tin tins, but no luck at all.
