depends if the question is "the box" or "the watch". Use more words, and we shall understand your Q better in any case, your answer is on ebay. Check the completed sales rather than the asking prices
A few pics comparing the tintin to the classic .005 Speedy...purchased the latter (a 2018 with the apparently new "Professional Moonwatch" engraved on the caseback) for my father so wanted to take a few comparison pics before packaging back up. As others have mentioned the dial on the tintin is a tad more black & shiny as opposed a slightly more grey/slate & matte of the classic speedy. Additionally the font & spacing of the text is a little different as can be observed...and the subdials have a different depth...overall both feel/fit same obviously, just thought I'd add some pics.
One of the bigger grey dealers had one for sale with box papers that it listed yesterday. Was advertised and looked in excellent condition and the dealer has a sterling reputation. Price was excellent and it sold in less than 24 hours.
Picked up an Omega NATO for my TinTin last week. I know they're crazy expensive for what they are (although it definitely feels good quality), but after buying the watch it seemed a bit mean to skimp on a strap
As of late this week Crown and Caliber sold there last one. Three gone from major grey dealers in the last week.
The Speedy is such a comfortable watch to wear, so I decided to see how my IWC Mark XVII bracelet (a micro adjustable bracelet and the most comfortable bracelet I’ve ever worn) would work on my Speedy TinTin. It fits perfectly except the end links want to rotate up a mm or so when the watch is facing downwards - I think I can use a small piece of double sided tape to prevent that, but I like the way it looks. I think the checkerboard links compliment the red/white checkerboard dial and it is super comfortable! Speedys are a hoot to own because they look good on so many different bracelets and straps!
Maybe we should start a Tintin Thursday - what do you think? Of course it's only Tuesday here in Aus - so it's Speedy Tuesday.
Although its gone up so much in recent months, I guess its still at an affordable entry point vs Snoopy or Alaska - those two ships have sailed away.
Destination Moon(TinTin) is going to soon be in that same unobtainable arena. I know 2 dealers(well known) who have contacted me to help them track down additional TinTins. These dealers are known for hyping the silver Snoopy. Nothing wrong with their efforts but the point I’m trying to make is the writing is on the wall-this Watch is sold out-rare-and going up in price. Demand is far outpacing supply especially since collectors are hoarding rare variants like the TinTin. Now I wish Omega would make a single center red stripe black nato to match this watch.
