For some reason I've become obsessed with this Speedmaster, and really want it to be the first I own. I'm thinking the longer I leave it, the harder it's going to be to find one, and that prices may start climbing ever upwards (they don't really seem to be heading south).
I might keep an eye on the 'Sale' section and hope for a 'careful forum owner's' TinTin to appear. I already declined an offer from DLT222 over a year ago which I'm starting to regret, but the timing was wrong.
It doesn't help that you guys are such enablers... 😁

Brand new, from Costco actually... I’ve wanted a speedmaster for while. I was saving my pennies and nickels. LOL

Mine arrived today BNIB, purchased from a UK seller on Chrono, the hang tag has the price in yen, not sure what that means as I'm new to this watch world but all the same its a lovely looking specimen, its serial no is 7777.82xx

Meant to say it's my first Speedmaster and only my 2nd Omega, decided i should by it now while i can even though since November last year i've bought a Doxa Sub 300 Black Lung Re-Issue and a CWC 1980 Royal Navy Divers Re-Issue which i absolutely love, i daren't look at Omega's offerings this year at Baselworld.

Hello Everyone, I am new to the speedy world and is considering to buy a Tintin.

I found two in Japan, one is NOS and one is used with only warranty card (great condition). The NOS is about 700 USD more than the used. Is it fair?

Do I need the full set to make the Tintin valuable and collectible?

Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
TT

First post, great thread and forum.
I just bought the last tintin available from an official OB in Australia and maybe anywhere. A few pages back someone said there was a few in Melbourne store. I called a store in Sydney today to check if any existed and they called back saying only one and it was in Melbourne.
They did say that there has been no stock for a while and a few got moved to Melbourne for Christmas.
I should be getting it Friday and I'll post serial number then. Interestingly it was less expensive than a few second hand ones I've seen in Australia.
