After seeing the post about Costco having Tin Tin, I decided to go out and find one. Nothing at my local Costco, unfortunately. I was sort of prepared to buy it 😁

Also to note, the salesman said some guy returned a $40,000 Audemar. I have not seen one single Audemar on display unless it's a special request to get from the back.

Hi All:

I have a very small wrist for a guy: 6"

So, often, if I want an interesting strap, or a strap with atypical details, or particularly nice leather, I'd have to go the custom strap route.

I just received my Omega Tin Tin and I'm struggling to think of what custom strap I can get that would make this watch look great.

Sure, I can go the expected route of a black Rally-styled strap with red stitching, but, that seems to be so very expected.

I'm thinking that as i'm going to have this custom made, i can do more with this and make it a bit more customized and synergistic with this watch.

Yet, i'm stumped.

i don't want a red strap - that would be a bit much!

already thought about the black Rally strap with red stitching - that would be just so expected.

may i ask if the good folks here have any good ideas, suggestions please? i would be most grateful to see what ideas y'all have and try to come up with a really nice custom strap.

thank you in advance.

I believe production has now ceased for the Speedmaster "Tintin"

1. Do we have production dates/years for the Speedy Tintin?
2. Any guesstimates at production number - 400 was a figure I read in a forum post, but unconfirmed.
2. Can anyone add any Serial numbers outside of the 77.764.8xx - 77.797.9xx range

Cheers

even though i'm new to this particular "party", i have one that says: 7780xxxx

Christmas morning, Lego City bad guy taken daddy's new TINTIN hostage and threatening to blow it with TNT. Motorcycle cop sliding in and going to take one for the Team, Street cop about to do a 180 degree quick draw to take the Perp down!!!!
Can't continue the story as angry 7 year old stormed in and took all his Lego back!!!

may i ask the good folks here what is the suggested tapering of straps (i am getting an Omega tang buckle) for the Tin Tin if one were to use a custom leather strap please?

i am assuming that the proper taper would be 20mm/18mm, but i just want to be sure as there is a wealth of experienced folks here on the Tin Tin! Thank you.

Happy New Year! I believe the buckle width is 16mm. Others can confirm. Looking forward to seeing your custom strap!

is the consensus here that the Tin Tin looks best on the included bracelet, or, does it look better on a coordinated black leather strap with some details?
