    Arrived safely today. A quick stop at my local Omega retailer for a free band resizing, and I'm off to the races! Another happy Kringkily customer.

    Serial # 777945xx

    Things I never knew:
    * the 1861 is a non-hacking movement
    * there's a tiny Omega icon right in the center of the Hesalite crystal

    You live and learn...

    Good morning, All! I received an email this week from my local OB stating that they just received a Tintin. I’ll be heading over this afternoon to pick it up. Even after recently adding a 60th Anniversary Speedy and Speedy Tuesday to my collection I’m still really excited about adding the Tintin. There is just something incredibly cool about this Reference! On a similar note, have you all watched this review of the Tintin? It’s pretty good.

    Love the TInTin, grab it while still can. Good prices in Japan.

    My friend reserved one for me and I cannot wait.

    my wife bought me a brand new tin tin speedy last week with 778090xx serial...

    mine came in the new/bigger heavy brown "wooden" (?) box.

    my wife's tin tin speedy (from 2015) has the serial 777809xx but came in a red light-weight box.

    a friend bought one at the same time she did (same store next day) with a 7779 serial (i think 7779001xx).

    Dudes! After seeing all of your inspiring photos I finally picked up a brand new Tintin from my local Omega Boutique this past weekend. Although this Reference Speedy is incredibly photogenic, it looks even better in person and has more than exceeded my rather lofty expectations. The best part is I was able to purchase it directly from the Tyson’s Corner, VA (Washington D.C. area) Omega Boutique.

    A couple weeks ago, just for yucks, I jokingly sent Diego Aguilera, my OB rep., an email asking him if, by some crazy chance, they had a forgotten Tintin hiding in the back of their safe. He replied a couple days later stating that, coincidentally, Omega corporate was sending the U.S. 10 Tintin’s and would I like one. Of course I jumped on it. After placing a full deposit I received it a few days later and couldn’t be happier with it. I already have a new black leather rally strap on order. More photos to come. If you’re in the market for a Tintin, and like me, you feel a little more comfortable purchasing an expensive watch from an AD or OB rather than going grey market, you still might have a chance if you move quickly. Call Diego at
    ‭(571) 633-9710‬.

    Congrats Scott on the acquisition!!

    And.... we now have the smoking gun that Omega is trickling out additional pieces directly from Bienne; looks like are taking a page out of Rolex's playbook.

    might want to wait and see what the serial #s are before jumping to conclusions. They may have been unsold inventory at OBs in countries that do not do as much business, and Corporate may have agreed to take them back and send them to other places.

    I have a sneaky feeling that you might be correct, BT. No credible proof. Just a hunch. I’ll share the serial number tomorrow. Maybe you’ll be able to glean something from it.
