I'm really liking the tintin. I enjoy wearing it more than the regular speedy pro. Not sure why. Maybe the rarity of it?

Latest wristshot today at work

While I cannot speak for others here on OF, I know I am grateful you are not a protologist 馃榿

Just got mine today fresh from Tokyo.

There were at least 3 sitting in 3 different shops. I really wonder if this tin tin is really discontinued...

Swapped it immediately onto a Nomos horween leather strap with red stitching

Bic Camera? How much was it?

@TJH Wow, I'm very impressed you picked up on that. I recently found out that I'm related to him and have been digging for more and more info on him.

From the little I have read about Willy Mairesse, he had a very unlucky life, ending in suicide.

So from one Belgian speedster to another

model: Airfix Ferrari 156 F1 (Sharknose) and driven by Willy Mairesse at SPA 1962

Keep thinking about picking up one of these. Seems to be many available recently. They keep popping up.

I am certainly warming to these, I'd like to see one in the metal...

I am certain as I can be that they are no longer in production or being secretly produced in batches 馃槑. I'd just say a number squirrelled away for a rainy day by someone. Still, I guess it is possible that Swatch could be drip feeding some ADs the last of the held stock, I can see the benefit of not flooding the market, but that's a long, agonising process for Swatch. Thoughts?

I am not sure that of the many you have recently seen @boltman how many are from Omega Boutiques, ADs or on the used market, be curious to hear your observations on that though.

Btw, @TJH they are much nicer, as I suspect many here will confirm, when seen in the metal. True that. 馃榿

I've been wanting a speedy for a while now, and recently had a little windfall, so soon this one will be mine! Just waiting on the funds to transfer.
