What seems to be happening (my guess) is that Omega is slowly releasing additional stock. There has continued to be a trickle of these watches, all NOS, available at AD's and even boutiques. If so, its a clever marketing trick by Omega, to continue to give the impression that "this is the last one". I've noted that @DLT222 has managed to get his hands on 5 TinTin's at a time.
I have the same hunch now... And that is not good if they announced its discontinuation in 2015 as per Fratellowatches article...
I believed ours is a gentlemen hobby and companies uphold their words.

I have little doubt that production ceased when Omega said it did, but that doesn't mean all the pieces were shipped out to dealers at that time.

Just picked up a NOS TinTin in a red box from a well-known Omega grey-market (private) dealer in NYC, who imported it from Asia (I believe).

There are few TinTins at sales sites stating new unworn and 2017 as year of production...
If that鈥檚 true then it鈥檚 clear that Omega is still producing and releasing it slowly to clear the inventory.

I have to agree with some of the earlier comments, in that I believe production ceased when Omega said it did. That doesn't mean that they aren't still distributing units to clear inventory, or that there weren't examples still in the AD's or OB's vaults...glad to see that these are still available from time to time in NOS condition.

Hi,
I am new to the forum, it is a very nice thread. Just bought my BNIB Tintin (with wooden box, warranty card issued in September) in Hungary from a Grey market dealer who imported it from Asia, number is 778103..
It is an absolutely stunning watch.

Hello guys, new guy in here, my first post.

I have been interested in moonwatch for a while, and when I saw Speedmaster Tintin for the first time, I love it even more. I find the red-white accent makes the watch more cheerful while still maintaining that it is a moonwatch, plus the "history" behind the Tintin moonwatch, which personally I find it more interesting than the standard moonwatch.

My question is, what is the consensus in here OF, which one is most in here prefer more?

This is not the appropriate thread for a question like this.

Anyway, the answer is to buy the one that you like most. You do not need a 'consensus', as your opinion is the only one that ultimately matters. Besides, there are tens upon tens of thousands of Speedmasters out there, but likely only a few thousand TinTins, so the ownership #s are going to be skewed far towards 'regular' Speedmasters.

My apology for the post. I will delete it right away. I just bought myself the Speedmaster Tintin and very happy about it, just want to know what is the opinion on it since many other people in here including myself love it, but at the same time I also know some people see it as an abberation to speedmaster.

Once again, I apology if my question is not appropriate.

Incoming Tintin to add to the family!

I keep thinking on those Tintin case-backs piled up somewhere in the bowels of the Omega dungeons just waiting for liberation.

One day... 馃檮 馃槜

It didn't sell apparently. This did!

Just got mine today fresh from Tokyo.

There were at least 3 sitting in 3 different shops. I really wonder if this tin tin is really discontinued...

Swapped it immediately onto a Nomos horween leather strap with red stitching

I think it looks really good on my horween strap due to the strap's slight red tinge of colour and red stitching. Hehehe
