A couple more numbers for the list. What is interesting is the manufacture date which is stamped on the outer brown cardboard box and also how close the first one is to the number above.
7780959x Mfg date 09-14
7780987x Mfg date 05-16

Cheers
Could you share how they were acquired? They're both extremely high serial#'s--maybe from the last batch made? Omega was supposedly finished manufacturing the tintin well before 05/16, so that's an interesting date stamp.

The omega boutique in regent street in London still has one available for 2960. Brand new. I hope that a genuine enthusiast takes advantage of this and not a dealer who wants to just flip it for a quick buck

I bought that watch! The full Omega boutiue experience, list price and new warranty etc. Couldn't be happier! The salesman said categorically this was the last new UK stock watch in the whole Omega dealer network. A specialist I deal with rang them all to try and find one a little while ago and came up empty handed. Happy days!

Congrats on picking one up before the inevitable markup. Feel like sharing the serial? (see page1 for examples)

I think he mentioned it was 7777.766x (but that could have been on another forum)

I am glad, I found this forum with all the other fans of the Omega Tintin 😀

I got my Tintin a few days ago and I love that watch! First time I've seen the Tintin was on Instagram and I fell in love with it, instantly.

Beside the Tintin, I also own an Omega CK2998 and the Omega Silver Snoopy award. But the Tintin is my everyday working watch. It's classy and sporty. The racing strap fits very well, in my opinion 👍

Serial No. is 777959xx

Balance wheel was knackered, now replaced.

Thanks Phil. If I can ask another, what were the symptoms?

The watch was gaining 30+ seconds per day. I'm not sure if it was a gradual or rapid increase is crap accuracy.

Hello all! My first post after just joining the group. Some serious depth of knowledge here. I was early for a movie and just strolling through the mall and swung into the omega shop. Tried on the speedy "TinTin" knowing nothing about it and saw the NASA stamp on the back. I've always been a bit of a aeroplane/space enthusiast so was interested straight away. So, couldn't stop thinking about the watch during the movie, had a beer afterward, googled "Omega Speedmaster" and after 30 mins of "research" decided that I needed it! Ha! Been really loving it. Beautiful timepiece. My serial number is 7777899x. I've only included the 'x' in place of the last digit after seeing so many of you do the same. Why is this the standard procedure? Hope all of you are well! Thanks for all the insight.

Can we conclude that the Tintin is definitively the rarest, lowest production, non-limited edition, Speedmaster, sleeper hit in existence?

Thoughts?

I don't know. We started here with a ball park figure of perhaps less than 1000 pieces. It gradually increased with the serial numbers being added and passed maybe 1500 mark. Then the esteemed member who was calculating the numbers stopped updating us. So therefore a noob like me has no idea about the numbers but would love to know some final figure from a competent person.

Its true that the estimation hasn't been updated in a while, but since then it's just been a lot of serials that overlapped with what was already known. Check page 1 and you'll find that most everything posted is already on that early list. So the last 15-20 pages probably didn't change the estimate much?

If the tintin becomes rare and popular enough, you'll find tintin service dials for sale on ebay from a few well-known sellers. 😀 Interesting how Omega has tightened their grasp on parts supply, but some with parts accounts are having no problem getting whatever they want and listing for sale directly on ebay.
