Does anyone have any TinTin memorabilia to go with their watch? If so can you post some pics?

Exactly 70 years ago... in 1953, the first " lunar album " of the Tintin series came out entitled " Objectif Lune "
The red/white squares on this racing Speedmaster were based upon the scheme of Professor Calculus' launch vehicle, a great design as Hergé - George Rémi was probably inspired by the 1950 SciFi movie "Destination Moon".
Omega never got the opportunity to use the Tintin name, but another wrist watch make did use the iconic red/white rocket on its casebacks:

I saw this on display in an Omega shop. The attendant didn't quite to know what it is. Anyway, he won't let me buy it....

I saw one a couple months ago and asked the same question and got the same response. I really like it though…

Any reason these have only recently been spotted in the wild? or have they been hiding all this time?

I have these guys, but didn’t shoot them together with the Tintin yet… 😟
I picked them up at a Hergé Tintin exhibition last year.

I would love to own a TinTin, however my pocket are a bit empty at the moment. But if you are in the market, then B&Q Watches UK have an auction, so someone might get lucky: BQW Auctions (bqwatches.com).

Has anyone used this website before? I would have strong reservations against bidding for this watch unless the buyer is satisfied that the company and website are legitimate. The site just looks amateurish, the watch description is extremely poor with no comment on the watches condition. The pictures are poor quality and I wonder whether all of the pictures are of the actual watch. One picture appears to show extensive scratches around the bezel and another shows none. Compare the images below for example.

I've used the website before and have even spoken to the owner. I didn't buy my 2264.50 as we couldnt agree on a price, however BQ have a very good reputation. I agree with the you with regard to the photo, but most of the their focus is for the shop customer and not online sales.

They do sell on Chrono24 and have a 4.4* rating and their photos are of a better quality (example): https://www.chrono24.com/omega/omega-speedmaster-moonwatch--id27765568.htm. Prices tend to match the mean average, but if this goes for under £10k it'll be a bit of a bargain. I think it was listed originally around £12k+.
