Have any of these actually sold anywhere near $10,000 or is the pump and dump era over?

Definitely, but has arguably settled between USD8k-9k, Last recent off eBay sale (in Aust.) I noted was AUD12900 (around USD8500) - but as I always say, buy because you like and don't pretend it's an investment; as always someone is going to get their fingers burnt and it's usually the last people in lead by emotion and the crowd. Follow your heart but take your head with you. Not sure just how easy they are to find from the Omega ADs now - I suspect grey market and used predominantly.

Someone is asking what I consider to be a very ambitious AUD18,245.07 (around USD12k) on eBay at present.

Update to my Tintin project as I finally found a way to make a custom chrono hand. This mod is how I wish Omega did the Tintin in the first place.

I see it is one and the same.

I know the folks at 4D Model Shop well and they do fine work - maybe others can approach them for a repeat order - I think they keep artwork on file for a couple of years.

Although I would consider rotating 90 degrees so that the ship moves in the direction of travel.

    Or on the tail.

Sadly, having seen the original prototype, the second hand had no such modification - but agree that it would have been nice.

I would have put the rocket as the sub seconds dial only..... I admire the conversion but not for me

Came across this video. I don't understand French but got excited when the occasional use of "moonwatch" "speedmaster" and "chronograph" was thrown about. On hearing chronograph I immediately thought coronograph - Seems like this watch is becoming a little too difficult to find for a sensible price, a bit like toilet paper or hand sanitiser in Australia

    But great pics

I have taken a copy of the serial number. Thank you. It might be best, for security purposes to remove it from public consumption.

Paid 7.5 K USD for NOS with stickers and tag. Hoping that’s a good entry point for me.
