Interesting thoughts here lately, I did think about this in 2016, completing the Tintin to how I think it should have been done by Omega in the first place. Even contacted a watchmaker that did custom hands.
Update to my Tintin project as I finally found a way to make a custom chrono hand. This mod is how I wish Omega did the Tintin in the first place.
Someone is having fun - note the tip of the second hand:

if only you'd scrolled up to the last few posts 😗
Anyone seen a Tintin up for sale in any watch shops lately?
R rmcardA quick story - Authentic Watches had the watch advertised for $5k. I tried to buy one and was told they didn't actually have one, but could "source" it for me. I knew by then that it wasn't going to happen at $5k, but I said sure - go ahead and try. Shortly thereafter, they jacked up their online price to $10k and sure enough couldn't source one for me at $5k. Now I think they advertise the one they do have in stock for close to $15k. So, safe to say we're in bubble territory. It's a nice watch, and I'm happy to own one, but there are better, safer investments out there. Like Bitcoin. Nobody's ever lost money investing in crypto.
Thanks to all who are messaging me with movement numbers. The number collection is growing and once we hit 250 (not that far away now) then we have something to really work with. If you don't mind, can you supply full numbers by privately messaging me here on OF. Thanks to all who resent full numbers on the last shout out. Right now I have 180 movement numbers ranging from 77682xxx to 78786xxx
Edit: lowest number corrected 😗

I have taken a copy of the serial number. Thank you. It might be best, for security purposes to remove it from public consumption.
OK thanks… Brand new to the OF… I have deleted.
